EUROPADS EUROPEAN PROFESSIONAL AEROSPACE DEVELOPMENT SCHEME EUROPADS was a European association of aviation industry companies and universities, which aimed to provide an in-service further and advanced training programme. The target groups were mainly engineers, who wished to gain the qualifications necessary for new areas of responsibility. An academic qualification was intended to be gained by means of a flexible, international and continuous modular system, organised in co-operation with the University of Bristol, UK. Successful completion of 12 modules - usually lasting one week - and the preparation of a 'Master Thesis' were the main requirements. Other certification, for example following completion of 6 further modules, were also a possibility. KHBO was one partner in the programme. Another partner in EUROPADS was the Technical University in Hamburg (TUHH). As part of this programme, TuTech (commercial arm of TUHH) offered the following modules in Hamburg: "Aircraft Systems Technology" "Human Factors in International Collaboration" EUROPADS ended in about 2004.
